Mold remediation

Mold remediation.

Mold grows where moisture stays: after a leak, a slow drip, or water that wasn't dried properly. Remediation means containing the area, removing what's affected, cleaning the air and, most important, fixing the moisture source so it doesn't come back.

What we do

  • Find the moisture source and get it fixed.
  • Contain the affected area so spores don't spread.
  • Remove mold-affected materials that can't be cleaned.
  • Run air scrubbers to clean the air.
  • Dry and rebuild the area.

Questions

Mold remediation: common questions

Can I just bleach it?

Bleach can lighten mold on hard surfaces, but it doesn't fix the moisture behind it and doesn't work well on drywall or wood. Disturbing larger areas can also spread spores. If it's more than a small spot, or it keeps coming back, have it inspected.

What causes mold after water damage?

Wet materials that don't get dried quickly. Drywall, insulation and wood can stay wet inside even when the surface feels dry. That's why proper drying after a leak matters so much: it is the simplest mold prevention there is.

Are you certified for mold work?

Yes. Future Roof & Restoration is IICRC-certified, and the team holds certifications that cover water, mold and lead work. Ask about them at your free inspection.
