Water damage mitigation
Water damage mitigation in North Atlanta.
Mitigation is everything that stops water damage from getting worse: finding the source, pulling out standing water and drying the structure. Done early, it is often the difference between drying a room and rebuilding it.
What we do
- Find and stop the source, with an in-house plumber on call when it's a pipe.
- Extract standing water from floors, carpet and pad.
- Set dehumidifiers, air movers and injector dryers to dry walls, floors and cavities.
- Photograph and document the loss for your insurance company.
- Hand off to repairs and reconstruction with the same company.

Questions
Water damage mitigation: common questions
What's the difference between mitigation and restoration?
Mitigation stops the damage from spreading: extraction, drying and removing what can't be saved. Restoration puts the home back: drywall, flooring, cabinets and paint. We do both, so the drying crew and the rebuild crew work from the same notes and the same insurance claim.
How long does drying take?
It depends on how much water there was, what got wet and how long it sat. Drying equipment usually runs for several days, and progress gets checked along the way. You'll get a realistic timeline at the inspection instead of a guess over the phone.
Will my insurance cover water damage?
That's a question for your insurance company, and the answer depends on your policy and the cause. What we can do is document the damage and its source properly, meet your adjuster and handle the paperwork side with you, so your insurer has what it needs to decide.
